Corporate Social Responsibility

The Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility philosophy aligns with it's core values of improving the lives of people living in and around Sandur. For over half a century, SMIORE has been consciously contributing towards social development and environmental protection. Through it's well-rounded CSR strategies, it strives to provide holistic solutions to strengthen the fabric of society and ensure the wellbeing of the people. The SMIORE CSR schemes and programmes are anchored on five pillars: health, education, environment, area development and protection of heritage and art.

SMIORE CSR Education Programme and SMIORE Health and Sanitation Programme are being implemented through Karnataka Seva Sangha (KSS), a Charitable Trust formed under the Indian Trust Act, 1882.

The Company established the Sandur Kushala Kala Kendra in 1984 to nurture and promote the traditional craft and fine art indigenous to Sandur. Our CSR programme focuses on protecting and fostering the local art and artisans and strives to give an international stage.
